Stark County, Ohio is a very interesting place. Home to Rod Parsley and the Republicans' favorite direct mail/robocall/activists-for-hire company Infocision, it has an active teabagger presence but also some entrenched (and evidently corrupt) Democrats.
Their county treasurer -- a Democrat -- resigned after one of his deputies admitted to stealing over $2.5 million from the county coffers over a ten-year period.
While it's understandable that passions might be high about choosing a candidate for replacement, Phil Davison's appeal to the county GOP to nominate him for the treasurer's spot might just be a little over the top, particularly when he promises to come out with "both guns blazing".
Fortunately, party leaders chose someone else. Also, Mr. Davison just might have wasted his time on that masters in communication. Just sayin'.
