It looks like old Klannity isn't the only one out there trolling for some attention by defending this rodeo clown that showed up in the Obama mask at the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia. Wingnut Texas Rep. Steve Stockman decided to get his name back in the headlines by inviting the clown to come perform in his home state.

Rep. Steve Stockman (R-TX) has extended a Texas welcome to the rodeo clown who received a lifetime ban from the Missouri State Fair for his offensive depiction of President Obama being run down by a bull. The performer was promptly fired after Missouri Republican and Democratic officials alike slammed his wearing an Obama mask, and fair officials described it as an “unconscionable stunt.”

“Liberals want to bronco bust dissent,” Stockman said in a press release that called the event a harmless gag. “But Texans value speech, even if its speech they don’t agree with. From Molly Ivins to Louie Gohmert and every opinion between Texans value free and open political speech. I’m sure any rodeo in Texas would be proud to have performers.”
