Jon Stewart just made up for all of the concern trolling we've seen him do for the last few weeks over the rollout of the Affordable Care Act: Jon Stewart and his choir have a message for the media for using him against Obamacare: ‘Go f*ck yourselves’:

Jon Stewart took to song again on Thursday, with a choir backing him in a chorus of “go f*ck yourselves” to media outlets insistent on holding him and the Daily Show‘s jibes up as a symbol of failure for the Affordable Care Act.

“People, I am here to say that the jokes we do on this program seem to accomplish very little,” Stewart said, which the choir echoed by saying, “They don’t do d*ck.”

While, on a good day, his show may provide catharsis or perspective, Stewart argued, most of the issues they complain about never change.

“The point is this: don’t you use our jokes as evidence that the thing you hate must be stopped,” Stewart said pointedly. “I’m sure when we talk about sh*t you like, you’re more than happy to ignore it. We add insult, not injury.”

As Stewart noted after showing a clip of John Barrasso on Faux "news":

STEWART: If that causes things to end, why was the network you were on still on the air? The senator from Wyoming believes that when young Americans laugh at a federal official, it is time for that official to step down. You didn't happen to ever mention that to this guy, did you?

He went onto explain that no one ever demanded that Dubya and his buddy dead-eye Dick be fired just because Stewart and his show were going after them night after night. Stewart's exactly right. They love to quote him when it suits them, otherwise they ignore him. I'll be shocked if either Shepard Smith, Jake Tapper, Brian Kilmeade, Howard Kurtz or Greta Van Susteren that he savaged here, or any of their colleagues for that matter, let their audiences know about this segment.
