David Gregory continues to prove that our media hasn't gotten any better since he and his ilk helped lie and cheerlead us into invading Iraq.
After discussing the possibility of Congress voting against the authorization to use military force in Syria and quoting some of the recent statements made by President Obama and John Kerry, here's how Gregory followed up with White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough.
GREGORY: How does the President not act if Congress says no? […]
My question is, if they say no, has not the President made it impossible not to act, given what he says the consequences, the stakes are and the fact that he's already made it clear he doesn't feel he needs Congressional authority to act?
McDonough didn't answer him, but later in the show, David Axelrod said it would be very difficult for him to act without their approval. Regardless of Dancin' Dave's framing in this segment, it is not "impossible" for President Obama to back away from military intervention in Syria. He can tell the American people that Congress wants to look for alternatives to air strikes and that's what he's going to do.
