Stephen Colbert decided he wanted to get in on some of the Koch brothers action with some anti-Obamacare ads of his own to try to frighten young people from signing up to get health insurance.

After celebrating the government shutdown, and making his poor intern fill in for the "panda cam" that will no longer be on the air, Stephen Colbert warned his viewers that "Obamacare" is off to a rough start, with the "horror stories" rolling in for those trying to sign up on the first day.

After showing some of the coverage opining over the fact that the web sites to sign up were experiencing glitches because they were overloaded, Colbert noted:

Too many people signing up is always the surest sign that nobody wants it. But, even if the sign up process has worked perfectly, Fox host, Susteren Van Greta knows that this so-called "health care for everyone" will leave people behind.

Cue the carping about signing up on line with Colbert chiming in about how difficult it's going to be to "navigate" signing up on the phone as well. But, as he pointed out, all is not lost yet, since conservatives still have the ad wars, lead by the likes of the Koch brothers who are doing their best to scare young people out of getting insurance.

Colbert decided he was going to get in on that as well with a series of anti-Obamacare ads featuring ugly animals -- to counter the cute ones showing up in pro-Obamacare ads. Colbert praised the Koch ads as a great idea and wrapped things up by asking "Why would a drunk college student ever need health insurance?"

I'm not sure how well Colbert's "campaign" is going to work with scaring anyone from signing up for the exchanges, but their sample ad sure was good for a laugh.
