When I first heard Madeleine Peyroux I thought I was hearing remixed or long-lost Billie Holiday. After the shock wore off I started getting into probably one of the more evocative and spell binding voices I've heard in a very long time. Madeleine Peyroux is from Athens Georgia and so far has had a string of albums and appearances all over the world.
Tonights track comes off her latest album "Standing On The Rooftop". Super Hero hits a lot of responsive chords and has an ethereal quality pretty much perfect for this particular Monday night.
And it's nice to start the week off on an ethereal footing every once in a while, right?
