This was a follow up to their earlier hit You're The One. Originally a Sly & the Family Stone hit off their 1969 album Stand, Somebody's Watching You wound up being a hit for the younger Stewart sibling and kept it all in the family, with Sly producing. Interesting factoid - this track was the first record to hit the American pop charts that used an electronic drum machine as their primary rhythm source.
