Since there's been a lot of tributes today to John Lennon, and a lot of playing of Lennon songs, I thought I would toss my two cents in and offer one of my favorites from an earlier period. Revolver was, for me, a pivotal album - one that ended with what was probably the most mind-blowing track for its day. Tomorrow Never Knows more or less signaled the end of the Beatles as we remembered them on The Ed Sullivan Show and the beginning of The Beatles that were going to take us all on a wonderful and unfamiliar journey.
I remember, as a 15 year old with my first set of headphones (Koss Pro4a's), cranking this track way past distortion and wearing out my first copy of the lp in the process.
Everything else seemed to fall into place and, as far as I was concerned, there was no turning back.
I'm sure you all have your favorite Beatles track. This was mine . . .well, one of them anyway.
