Festival season is going full blast in Europe right now with no end in sight (at least for the next few weeks). The amount of great live material being broadcast by outlets all over Europe is a little overwhelming and hard to keep on top of, and the backlog of concerts piling up on the hard drive is getting a bit daunting. So it's time to start digging through and taking a look at what's been going on.
This week it's MGMT live at the SOS4.8 Festival in Murcia Spain, which happened in May of this year and more or less kicked off the Festival season. SOS4.8 is a 48 hour festival of Art, Music, Poetry, Performance, just about anything creative, jammed into two straight days of non-stop performance which no doubt left people in a state of collapse but on an incredible high by the time it was over.
The audience really got into MGMT's performance and it goes a little over an hour. The festival was broadcast by RNE 3 in Madrid live in May 7th, and even though the announcers get a bit chatty and run into the intro's of some of the songs, it's still a great concert and one that is probably best played loud.
It's the weekend anyway.
Enjoy.
