I have a theory. Ahem. This is my theory: Sunday morning talk shows are thin at one end -- the liberal end -- and much thicker in the middle, where the "centrists" are believed to be, and much, much thicker at the other, far-right wingnut end. That is my theory, and it is mine, and what it is too.

It tells you that it's yet another liberal-light week on the Sunday news shows when Joe Lieberman is the designated liberal on CNN's talk show, while Kent Conrad and Chris Coons do the honors at NBC and CBS. Perhaps the most interesting exchange will be on ABC, just because Franklin Graham earlier this week indicated that Donald Trump might gain favor with the evangelical crowd (maybe it's the hair), though it seems unlikely the subject will arise on this show...

Anyway, here's the lineup:

ABC's "This Week" - Evangelist Franklin Graham; the Rev. Al Sharpton; Richard Land of the Southern Baptist Convention; Eboo Patel, founder of Interfaith Youth Core; Tim Keller, pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City.

NBC's "Meet the Press" - Sens. Kent Conrad, D-N.D., and Tom Coburn, R-Okla.

CBS' "Face the Nation" - Sens. Chris Coons, D-Del.; Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn.; and Mark Kirk, R-Ill; Reps. Tim Griffin, R-Ark., and Joe Walsh, R-Ill.

CNN's "State of the Union" - Sens. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.; Joe Lieberman, independent of Connecticut; Michael Bennet, D-Colo.; Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn.; former Undersecretary of State Nicholas Burns; retired Gen. George Joulwan, a former top NATO commander in Europe; Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers.

"Fox News Sunday" - New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg; former Sen. Rick Santorum, R-Pa.

NBC's Chris Matthews Show: Guests: Katy Kay, Andrew Sullivan, Gillian Tett, Matt Frei. Topics: The Special Relationship Between the U.S. and Britian; How Brits See the Monarchy of the Future.
