This just in: According to C&L's inside sources at the Walt Disney studios, Disney has green-lit the long awaited remake of 1976's Freaky Friday, titled Freaky Friday: Freaky Father, starring teen heartthrobs Justin Bieber and Richard Thompson.

The film will mark the long-awaited return of Thompson to Disney, as his career as Mouseketeer Dicky on Disney's The Mickey Mouse Club was cut short in the show's first season, when Thompson was deported to his native England for "unnatural relations with a barnyard animal".

Thompson, who languished in near-anonymity for 50 years, revived his career as a teen heartthrob after releasing his version of Britney Spears' smash hit Oops!..I Did It Again in 2006.

Informed of the news of the project while in a North Korean recording studio where he is currently making a note-for-note cover version of Richard and Linda Thompson's Shoot Out the Lights with Rebecca Black, Bieber commented, "Cool."
