If Trump-friendly media outlets weren't afraid that the former President was going to lose to Joe Biden again, then they wouldn't be unleashing cheap fake videos to paint the President as unfit for office. They're cheating because they know that Trump doesn't have a winning message. He has cult-like followers but can't garner independents, women, or the Black vote. And that's because he sucked at his job, so we fired him, but he wants back in office.
Meanwhile, Felon 45 is walking around unleashing lengthy rants about sharks and electric vehicles, and the right-wing media brushes it off. And he couldn't remember the doctor's name that gave him the mental acuity test that he brags about acing.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre called out the right-wing media for using highly manipulated videos, saying they "have a credibility problem" and that "this appears to be a pattern that we're seeing more and more of."
"They are cheap fake videos," she said. "They are done in bad faith, and some of your news organizations have been very clear, have stressed that these right-wing critics of the President have a credibility problem because of the fact-checkers, have repeatedly caught them pushing misinformation, disinformation."
"And so we see this, and this is something coming from your part of the world, calling them cheap fakes and misinformation," she continued. "And I'll quote the Washington Post, where they wrote about this, and they said how Republicans used misleading videos to attack Biden in a 24-hour period."
"And to their credit, we have a conservative Washington Examiner that did call them out as well, calling out the New York Post," she said. "Ironically, several recent cheap fakes actually attack the President for thanking troops. For thanking troops, that is what they're attacking the President for. Both in Normandy, this happened, and again in Italy."
"And I think that it tells you everything that we need to know about how desperate Republicans are here," she added. "And instead of talking about the President's performance in office, and what I mean by that is his legislative wins, what he's been able to do for the American people across the country, we're seeing these deep fakes, these manipulated videos. And it is, again, done in bad faith."
When the Washington Examiner calls them out, that tells you a lot. And Trump himself has shared cheap fakes of Biden on Truth Social.
And here she explains that it's not a health issue because the President wasn't dancing. And, by the way, after seeing Trump's little annoying fisty-dance, it's probably best that Biden sat that out.
