Convicted felon Donald Trump held a presser to denounce his Hush Money Trial convictions and make specious claims about everything else, including why he didn't testify.
CONVICTED FELON DONALD J TRUMP: Now I would have testified, I wanted to testify, the theory is you never testify because as soon as you testify, anybody, if it were George Washington, don't testify because he'll get you on something that you said slightly wrong and then they sue you for perjury.
But I didn't care about that. I wanted to.
Wait, what?
Trump and his minions claimed he would testify to defend himself but now even George Washington wouldn't have testified?
CFDJT: But the judge allowed them to go into everything that I was ever involved in, not this case, everything that I was ever involved in, which is a first.
In other words, you could go into every single thing that I ever did.
Was he a bad boy here?
Was he a bad boy there?
And my lawyer said, what do you need to go through?
Trump is a bad boy, but not in the cool way he believes it to mean.
FELON X 34: And all you wanted to do is testify simply on this case, because I would have loved to have testified. To this day, I would have liked to have testified.
But you would have been, you would have said something out of whack, like it was a beautiful sunny day and it was actually raining out.
WTF does that even mean?
Trump lies about most things anyway. Lying about the weather is not a criminal offense. Committing election interference is.
Back in mid-April, Heather wrote this article: Trump Claims He'll Testify In NY Voter Deception Trial
As Business Insider noted, we've heard this one before:
Former President Donald Trump on Friday said he will "absolutely" testify in his upcoming Manhattan hush-money trial, which is set to begin jury selection on Monday morning.
But Trump hasn't always kept his testimony promises. [...]
In a Friday press conference at Mar-a-Lago, Trump told reporters he plans to testify in the trial, which he called a "scam" and "witch hunt."
"I'm testifying. I tell the truth. All I can do is tell the truth and the truth is they have no case," he said.
I thought all you would do is testify and tell the truth. If that were the case, then you would have faced the judge and jury in the witness box.
Instead, Trump admitted he's a liar and a coward and a convicted felon.
