Laura Ingraham loves riding the Reefer Madness train. Here she goes again, via Media Matters:
LAURA INGRAHAM (HOST): Dr. Siegel, what's so sad is when you actually talk to people who are addicts on the street and as I did in my many reports from San Francisco, and everyone has a story of how they got there. I say nine out of the ten folks that I interviewed at any given time I report on this, they started with marijuana. They didn't start on fentanyl, they started on marijuana. So, when they say it's not a gateway drug, well not for everybody, but?
MARC SIEGEL (GUEST): It's not just chronic use either. It's not just daily use. You can get it off of one or two times use. And it's a disgrace that the Biden administration is now trying to make it a Schedule III drug. It needs to be restricted for the very reason you just said. When it gets this potent, it's not so different than the more pyschoactive drugs like psychedelic drugs that are more restricted. It's got to stay restricted. Period. And also, it's part of a continuum here, alcohol psychosis, any substance abuse can cause a psychosis, but it is no excuse for murder because you choose to take that drug, don't you?
MURDER? Murder.
Marijuana is a constant scapegoat for Ingraham.
She blames pot for mass shootings.
She blames pot for "social and ecological decline":
She even blames pot for...coronavirus infections?
