Sometimes, Republicans accidentally, on purpose, tell the truth -- and with cameras rolling. In this case, Arizona Rep. Andy Biggs made a good point on Newsmax, and the host, Chris Salcedo, agreed. Republicans have accomplished nothing. We can't argue with that! Ever since Republicans took a slim majority of the House, they have done nothing except set up a fact-free impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden solely because their Orange Pissdaddy at Mar-a-Lago asked them to as revenge for his two impeachments. That's how juvenile one party has gotten, but they swoop in to take credit for Biden's accomplishments when it suits them.
"We have nothing, in my opinion, we have nothing to go out there and campaign on, Chris," Biggs said. "It's embarrassing.
"Right," Salcedo agreed. "Well, I know, the Republican Party, the Republican Party in the Congress of the majority has zero accomplishments."
Not true. After 15 (was it fifteen or more?) attempts, Republicans finally agreed on a House Speaker, only to oust him a short time later. What an accomplishment, guys. That's something to be proud of.
Rep. Chip Roy would agree with Biggs and Salcedo. In mid-November, Roy said, "One thing: I want my Republican colleagues to give me one thing—one—that I can go campaign on and say we did. One!" Roy went on to ask Republicans to come down to the floor and "explain to me one material, meaningful, significant thing the Republican majority has done besides, well, 'I guess it's not as bad as the Democrats.'"
The problem here, of course, is the MAGA Republicans, whose sole purpose seems to be to create chaos and dysfunction. MAGA doesn't know how to fix things. Get rid of MAGA, and they'll have their party back. Easy peasy. But first, they would need to eliminate that bloviating windbag at Mar-a-Lago. So now it's not so easy peasy. They would have to get rid of the monster they created.
I'm starting to see a pattern here. And this would make another good ad for Democrats.
