Right-wing host Charlie Kirk was a textbook case in legitimizing racism – by pretending that only over-sensitive Blacks with too much power think blackface or the n-word are racist.
“There’s no catechism of rules,” Kirk said. “It’s just who’s in power gets to enforce it.”
“If I wear Blackface, is it racist? Yes or no?” Kirk “asked.” He knows darn well it’s offensive to Blacks but see, they don’t get to decide. Ditto for the n-word.
“If your answer is yes, then tell me why,” Kirk demanded. “Because then you must yield back to a definition of which people cannot give you. And if they give you a definition, it is completely and totally across the board.”
In other words, it doesn’t matter who you insult, offend or oppress with language that is obviously meant to do so. It’s whether or not white guys like Charlie think the word is properly defined.
Here’s a term for word-policeman Kirk that he can look up if he doesn’t already know the definition: a-hole.
