Anything from GOP presidential hopeful Tim Scott (S.C.) debuting his girlfriend on the debate stage Wednesday night is all on the South Carolina Republican. It will be a self-inflicted wound. I'm not buying his girlfriend's reveal as authentic, and I doubt many others are. This is the classic beard story, and I'll apologize if I'm wrong.
I'm not being mean, but GOP donors were questioning Scott's relationship status, suggesting that funding could be yanked, and then suddenly, the GOP Presidential hopeful has a girlfriend to introduce y'all to.
The five candidates appeared on the stage to greet their spouses and families, and then Scott could be seen arm-in-arm with a blonde woman who was later identified as an interior designer, Mindy Noce.
