Killing the resolution to censure Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) sparked Republican infighting between Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), who introduced the measure last week over Tlaib's actions and remarks related to the Israel-Hamas war.
Roy was one of 23 Republicans who voted to block the resolution against the lone Palestinian American member of Congress on Wednesday evening, calling the resolution “deeply flawed” and held “factually unverified claims,” including accusing Tlaib of leading an insurrection at the United States Capitol, describing a rally on Oct. 18 where hundreds of demonstrators called for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war.

After the resolution failed on the House Floor, Greene took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to attack Roy for voting to expel her from the House Freedom Caucus in July. Republicans have remained largely silent on who voted to remove Greene from its ranks. Greene added Roy kept “CNN wannabe Ken Buck and vaping groping Lauren Boebert,” adding he sided “with the Democrats to protect Terrorist Tlaib.”
