Digger the Lion was born with with deformed paws and would not have survived in the wild. Thus he was destined to spend his life in an animal sanctuary. As a lion cub, a pack of dachshunds were introduced to Digger's enclosure. He became friends with the entire pack but one of the dogs, Abby, was his BFF. However, people were afraid that the full grown Digger would hurt the dogs and removed them from the enclosure. Digger fell into a deep depression without his little buddy and started wasting away. After months apart, Digger and Abby were reunited and there is no telling who was happier. Moral of the story: Don't get between a lion and his weiner (dog). No, seriously, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
