TIM O'BRIEN: I can guarantee you Ivanka Trump has a nanny. And I guarantee you that absolutely nothing would keep her away from a Manhattan fashion show or a launch appointment or anything else if she needed something else to look after their children. So the idea that this is what they've proffered as a read-in for her not to be in court shows the extent to which they actually disdain the process and how much they actually want to go to any means necessary to appear -- to avoid appearing in court. Because again, as we've spoken about time and time again, they're being he'll be held accountable in the court of law not the court of public opinion, and they are used to being able to spin people in the court of public opinion. And this is why this process is so important. Donald Trump has routinely tried to undermine the rule of law in the legal process. And as a number of jurists, including the Supreme Court, reminded us, no one's above the rule of law, including former presidents. And especially including his children, even if their own children need to be looked after.

Her attorney had sought a delay in her testimony on 8 November, arguing she would face “undue hardship” as it was scheduled “in the middle of a school week”.
An appeals court swiftly denied her request late Thursday to delay her testimony.
