If you ask me, extremist Pastor Jack Hibbs revealed more about himself than public schools in his sexualized rant against them. “We are going to take on the great trending issue of how to mentally molest your children in the public school system,” he said. Great trending issue? Really? Maybe in your mind, buddy.
But wait, there’s more. That supposed mental molestation of children sets them up for “actual physical molestation,” Hibbs claimed. Apparently, it’s all part of a plan “to get them to think it’s OK to go through the horrific abuse of rape in the name of education.”
This guy seems to have an obsession with schools. You may recall that last year, he blamed the horrific Uvalde school shooting on the teaching of evolution. He complained that evolution teaches kids that “you’re nothing but an animal.” According to Hibbs, that’s why the shooter “conducted himself like an animal.” He also griped that lawmakers should be “unpacking” the shooter’s family dynamics “instead of this issue of the Second Amendment.”
Just what Jesus would have said, I’m sure.
Hibbs sounds like he wants public schools abolished so that all kids can go to Bible school, instead. But he’s the one who seems to need a refresher course on its teachings.
