Representative Sporkfoot (Q - GA) went on InfoWars to cry that the peaceful protesters weren't being treated like violent insurrectionists:

Well, I also want to point something out one of the people, one of the insurrectionists, the anti-Semitic insurrectionist man lunged at me and was starting to attack me and I had to turn away from him. He even made physical contact with, with me before I turned away and stepped back and, and some of my staff stepped in the way the Capitol police did not shoot this man like Michael by shot Ashley Babbitt. As a matter of fact, they hardly stood in his way. I just told him to get back. They didn't arrest him on the spot.. They didn't throw him in the DC Gulag. As a matter of fact, I'm not sure where he is today. He probably, he probably was processed, never set in a jail cell. And I'm sure just either paid, paid a fine or had a no bail able to get out of jail, get out of jail free card. But, but there's a clear difference in the way these people were treated and the way Trump supporters were treated on January 6th and continue to be treated.

First of all, Sporkfoot's tale is probably not true. It was a peaceful protest. And if she were assaulted, why isn't there footage of it. With all the security cameras and all the cellphones and news cameras, somebody had to have caught it on video. Unless, of course, it never happened.

Another problem with Sporkfoot's tale of woe is the false comparison between the two events. The protests that happened this week were peaceful. There's been more violence from the Republicans trying to find a new Speaker than from the protesters.

And to compare this week's protests to the ones where cops were being pepper sprayed, punched, kicked and beaten with flagpoles and fire extinguishers is utterly ridiculous. There is absolutely no credible basis for the protesters to be treated like insurrectionists since they behaved so differently.

But even the fact that MTG called the protesters antisemitic is foolish. That is unless the protesters were blaming Jewish space lasers of starting wildfires in California.
