A large police presence remained in Lisbon, Maine this morning amid the ongoing search for Robert Card, 40, a person of interest in a spree shooting that left at least 20 people dead. Via WMTW:

A man shot and killed at least 16 people at a restaurant and a bowling alley in Lewiston on Wednesday night, then fled, sparking a massive search by hundreds of officers while frightened residents stayed locked in their homes.

Card was described as a firearms instructor believed to be in the Army Reserve and assigned to a training facility in Saco, Maine.

Lisbon was a focus area for investigators after a vehicle that may have been driven by Card was found Wednesday night at a boat launch in Lisbon Falls.

The area has been largely shut down as the manhunt continues.

"We continue to recommend that Lisbon residents continue to shelter in place with an emphasis on residents between Mill Street in Lisbon Center, along the Route 196 corridor east to Main street in Lisbon Falls," the Lisbon Police Department wrote on social media. "Businesses located within this area especially will mostly be closed until safety concerns have been addressed."

"Your cooperation with this recommendation is greatly appreciated as we work with several other law enforcement agencies to assure the residents and businesses in the community can go about their daily activities safely," the police department wrote.
