Fulton County Prosecutor Nathan Wade signaled the possibility of a plea offer in the cases of Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chesebro during a court hearing today before Judge Scott McAfee.

Earlier Friday, the judge in the Fulton County racketeering case ruled against Ken Chesebro's effort to keep the Trump evidence out of his trial, scheduled to begin on October 23rd, along with co-defendant Sidney Powell.

Chesebro had argued that the Trump evidence was subject to attorney-client privilege, but the judge ruled that the exception only applied when not in the commission of a crime. Ouch. And now that Chesebro has been tossed on that argument, it's likely Sidney Powell will be, too.

Shortly after that news broke, Politico's Kyle Cheney tweeted that Fani Willis' office was prepared to offer both of them a plea deal.

CNN reports:

Prosecutor Nathan Wade said during the hearing that while the district attorney’s office has not yet offered a plea deal to Powell or Chesebro, it may soon.

“We have not, at this point, made an offer,” Wade said during the hearing.

“Is the state in a position to make one in the near future?” Judge Scott McAfee, who is presiding over the case, asked.

“Judge, I believe that we can,” Wade said. “We’ll sit down and kind of put some things together, and we’ll reach out to defense counsel individually to extend an offer.”

Whatever that deal is, it had better involve cooperating with the DA's office and testifying against Trump. Also jail time. Lots of jail time.
