If Wisconsin Republicans are going to run a real candidate against Senator Tammy Baldwin, they'd better hurry up.
Tick Tock! Time Is Running Out For Wis. GOP In Senate Race

Two months ago, Tammy Baldwin looked like she had clear sailing to reelection to the US Senate, despite the pundits saying that she was so vulnerable. The Republicans were so sure of themselves that they started a "Topple Tammy" campaign. Their only problem was that they seemed to have forgotten to get a candidate.

They asked former US Representative Roger Roth, but he said no. Then they pinned their hopes on Representative Mike Gallagher, but he declined. They started to scrape at the bottom of the barrel by pinning their hopes on Representative Tom Tiffany. Tiffany toyed with the idea for a while, but eventually realized that no one like him much and took a pass.

That left the GOP with Eric Hovde, a businessman from California; race care driver turned businessman from Franklin, Wisconsin, a suburb of Milwaukee; and former Milwaukee County Sheriff and continuing Russian asset, David Clarke. However, it's becoming increasingly apparent that Clarke is only interested in running for the potential grifting opportunities.

Now that is not to say that Wisconsin Republicans don't have a candidate at all.

Just last week, Rejani Raveendran announced that she is going to run as a Republican against Baldwin. Raveendran is a 40 year old student at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point, where she is studying political science and is chair of the campus Republicans.

Raveendran has also expressed a firm grasp of current issues, like who the president is:

Asked whether she believed President Joe Biden won the 2020 election, Raveendran replied: “You know something, that is a great question. I am still learning about that. I am still learning about that particular thing.”

Raveendran knows all the right wing talking points: anti-vaxxer, anti-wokeism, and anti-immigrants (even though she is an immigrant herself). Heck, she even has a sure fire campaign slogan:

“I am not a politician, and I do not want to be a politician,” said Raveendran, who immigrated to the U.S. in 2011 from India, where she was a nurse and midwife. She lived in California before moving to Wisconsin in 2017.

Yeah, it looks like it's going to be pretty smooth sailing for Baldwin.
