Ron DeSantis is one of the most scary authoritarian wannabees ever. Want more proof? He literally *threatened* to slit throats of federal employees if he is elected President.

NHPR reports that during a campaign stop in New Hampshire, DeSantis continued his campaign reboot by talking up his campaign to reporters, saying: “Definitely after Labor Day, I think people are going to be dialing in a little bit more, and we are going to be here. So you can take that to the bank.”

But his inability to connect with people and his tendency to snap at reporters is not helping his ground game in any way. Add to that his bonkers legal speedbumps in Florida, including a widely unsupported 6 week abortion ban and his insane battle with Disney over "Don't Say Gay". Let's not even get started on his obsession with the word "woke" and "wokeism" and "don't say woke" and "woke is wack".

Ok, I made those last 2 up. But it is not out of the realm of possibility that he will eventually use both of those slogans on bumper stickers.

I mean, after all, he has repeatedly said “We’re going to ensure the woke agenda ends up in the dustbin of history." I am not sure he even knows that actually means.

But one of the most horrific things he said was during a talk at an a barbeque in Rye where he went off on a tangent speaking about tough he would be on Mexican drug cartels. While rambling on about that, he promised that they would be “shot stone cold dead” and added that "we are going to start slitting throats on Day One" when it comes to federal employees.

The crowd was heavily Republican and reportedly liked his message of hate, violence, homophobia and racism. But they didn't love the whole "slitting throats" thing.

I mean, Trump said he could shoot someone on 5th Avenue and not lose any votes. I guess this is the natural progression. Slitting throats for fun.
