Proud Boys Leader Joe Biggs Just Entered The 'Find Out' Stage

A notorious leader of the Proud Boys who went through the fuck around part just went through the find-out phase. Joe Biggs was sentenced to 17 years in prison, one of the harshest sentences handed down to a January 6 Capitol rioter. A grand jury convicted Biggs, 38, for several charges, including seditious conspiracy for attempting to forcibly prevent the peaceful transfer of power from then-President Donald Trump to Joe Biden after the 2020 election.

Prosecutors sought 33 years for the former Infowars correspondent.

NBC News reports:

Prosecutors argued that he was a "vocal leader and influential proponent of the group's shift toward political violence" and used his "outsized public profile" and his military experience as he "led a revolt against the government in an effort to stop the peaceful transfer of power."

U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly handed down Biggs' sentence. He ruled earlier in Thursday's hearing that Biggs' tearing down of a fence that stood between police and rioters qualified him for a terrorism sentencing enhancement sought by prosecutors. Destroying the fence was a "deliberate, meaningful step" that contributed to the disruption of the electoral vote count occurring in the Capitol, Kelly said.

"Our Constitution and laws give you so many important rights that Americans have fought and died for and that you yourself put on a uniform to defend," District Judge Timothy Kelly said. "People around the world would give anything for these rights."

But on January 6, 2021, Kelly said, "broke our tradition of the peaceful transferring of power" in the United States.

"The nature of the constitutional moment we were in that day is something that is so sensitive that it deserves a significant sentence," he said.

During the mayhem on January 6, Biggs said that he had a "fucking boner" while the Capitol riot was happening. Well, I have a lady justice boner right now. Should I call a doctor if it doesn't go away after four hours?

BIGGS is in tears. "I know that I have to be punished," he says, but pleads with Kelly to allow him to "take my daughter to school one day and pick her up."
