Former President Donald Trump kicked off his morning with an all-caps rant on his struggling Truth Social platform to lash out at the world. Inflation is cooling, but the twice-impeached, twice indicted one-term President appears unaware of that.
"MASSIVE PROSECUTORIAL MISCONDUCT IS CURRENTLY TAKING PLACE IN AMERICA," Trump insisted. "THE WEAPONIZATION OF LAW ENFORCEMENT CANNOT BE ALLOWED TO HAPPEN. CRIME & INFLATION ARE RAMPANT, OUR BORDERS ARE OPEN, OUR ELECTIONS ARE RIGGED, OUR ECONOMY IS IN SHAMBLES, OUR ENERGY INDEPENDENCE IS GONE, OUR "LEADER" IS MERCILESSLY MOCKED, & OUR COUNTRY IS BEING DESTROYED BOTH INSIDE & OUT. DO THE PEOPLE OF THIS ONCE GREAT NATION EVEN HAVE A CHOICE BUT TO PROTEST THE POTENTIAL DOOM OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA??? 2024!!!"
The borders are not open. In fact, border crossings are down by 70 percent. Our economy is not "in shambles." Unemployment is at 3.7 percent. When Trump was in power, unemployment reached an all-time high of 14.70 percent in April 2020. Of course, that's when the pandemic hit, but he bungled his response to it. He literally danced while Americans were dying.
If Trump had the job numbers President Biden has brought in, he would have been boasting about it ad nauseam. Trump left office with the worst job numbers since Herbert Hoover. Biden is not "mercilessly mocked."
And I'm unsure where he's going with his call to "protest the potential doom of the United States of America." It sounds very January 6-ish, though.
