Trump admitted he had stolen classified documents about Iran, that he knew they didn't belong to him, and that he had no right to declassify them as a former President.

Dick Nixon, look out: Tapes of alleged illegal activity are back in fashion! Yep, just like in the Georgia prosecution against Trump, we may have a smoking gun in the growing case against Trump's theft of classified documents to toss on the floor of Mar-a-Lago.

CNN reported that federal prosecutors had gotten hold of recordings where Trump admitted he had stolen classified documents about Iran, he knew they didn't belong to him, and acknowledged he had no right to declassify them as a former President.

Which becomes a problem when your defense is pretty much "I didn't know I had them and didn't know I couldn't take them as President and anyhow I can totally declassify them...or something."

If Trump thought the E. Jean Carroll case went badly, he's sure gonna hate a trial where he's on tape admitting to committing crimes, and having the knowledge he was committing crimes.

I believe this is where Homer Simpson might say, "D'oh!"
