The fourth-ranking House Republican joined with QAnon Klan mom Marjorie Taylor Greene to offer up two resolutions to expunge all Trump impeachments.
Rep. Elise Stefanik is targeting Trump’s 2021 impeachment (January 6 insurrection), and Marge has honed in on his 2019 impeachment (that "perfect call" trying to blackmail Zelenskyy.
"The American people know Democrats weaponized the power of impeachment against President Donald Trump to advance their own extreme political agenda,” Stefanik lied.
Greene, as usual, jumped on the Trump crazy-train, "The Democrats, led by Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff, weaponized a perfect phone call with Ukraine to interfere with the 2020 election."
MSNBC's Joe Scarborough weighed in early today and said Republicans are just making gestures to soothe Donald Trump's ego.
“I’m sorry, this is so stupid," he said. ”It's just shameless."
It is a feckless move by Republicans. Both of Trump's impeachments were highly visible to the public. Trump's shame has already been exposed.
The fact that Stefanik is joining forces with Marjorie Taylor Greene says this is about fundraising and grift.
