You may recall that the very next day after a Manhattan federal jury found that Donald Trump sexually abused and defamed E. Jean Carroll, and awarded her $5 million in damages, he smeared Carroll all over again on CNN.
One day later Trump appeared at the CNN Republican presidential town hall and said, “I have no idea who this woman – this is a fake story, made up story.” He called Carroll a “whack job” and went on a tangent about her ex-husband and pet cat.
The audience laughed. I’m sure former President P***y Grabber thought he was oh-so-clever and manly potent. But Carroll is the one likely to have the last laugh. She quickly moved to have her original complaint amended in order to seek additional punitive damages based on Trump’s CNN remarks.
Not long after Trump pleaded not guilty to 37 federal crimes in Florida, a federal judge in New York, granted Carroll’s motion.
