On Meet The Press, Sen. Chris Murphy observed Republicans' behavior after Title 42 -- the method which used Covid as a way to block migrants from entering the country -- ended.
Host Chuck Todd asked Murphy if he was in favor of restoring Title 42. Is it a tool needed by Senate Democrats, who are facing tough re-election campaigns in 2024?
The Connecticut Senator said no, because it just kicks the can down the road. And then he made this astute observation.
"And by the way, Republicans have been castigating the president for not lifting COVID restrictions fast enough," Murphy said. "The only COVID restriction Republicans seem to want to keep in place is the one that keeps people that don't look like them from coming into the United States."
Exactly.
Anything to help people survive a pandemic was ridiculed and attacked by many Fox News hosts and Republicans in Congress.
They created massive conspiracy theories about the virus and how it was used against crybaby Trump.
