Conservative talk radio host Larry Elder announced on Fox News' Tucker Carlson's show that he is launching a bid for the GOP nomination for President. Elder failed to replace California Gov. Gavin Newsom in 2021 during the recall effort, but sure, he'll win the White House. Is anyone else picturing Americans Googling "Who is Larry Elder?" right now?
"I'm announcing that I'm running for the presidency of the United States on your program," he told Tuckems.
He then said he was running because he didn't serve in the military like his other family members.
"I'm the only one who didn't serve, and I don't feel good about that," Elder said. "I feel I have a moral, a religious, and a patriotic duty to give back to a country that's been so good to my family and me."
He also took to Twitter.
"America is in decline, but this decline is not inevitable," Elder wrote. "We can enter a new American Golden Age, but we must choose a leader who can bring us there. That's why I'm running for President."
Only Republicans would describe a 3.5% unemployment rate as America declining. We do not need another President with zero political experience. We tried that, and the former reality show star was impeached twice and indicted.
