They played a nice game of whataboutism on Fox & Friends in response to former President Donald Trump's indictment.
Rachel Campos-Duffy called it a political prosecution and asked guest Francey Hakes, "Do you think at this moment there are prosecutors across the country looking through the books figuring out how they can get President Biden who has more dirt on him and things that are of more consequence to this country?"
I'm not sure what dirt she's talking about. Perhaps I should go to her favorite source, 4Chan, to see Q's latest prediction.
"I have a feeling prosecutors, especially GOP prosecutors, are looking very hard at the Biden family," Hakes said. "Here in Atlanta, if I was a prosecutor in Atlanta, I would at minimum be looking into whether or not any of the Biden family's alleged corruption could be tied through Atlanta, whether that is through the internet, phone calls, travel, transiting to and from Atlanta on the way to these deals we understand, evidence exists in Hunter Bided's laptop, I'm looking at that."
Hunter Biden's laptop has had more hands on it than Kimberly Guilfoyle.
"I don't think most people who are career prosecutors want this sort of war, but it seems to me that Bragg has declared war on the rule of law in this country, and when you declare war, you have to suffer the consequences," she continued.
Will Cain brought up Hunter Biden's laptop, too. He even fantasized about Hunter being dragged away in handcuffs. This is seriously the longest sentence ever.
"A politically elected prosecutor and some red area wants to win with his base, his constituency, builds a weak case, bootstrap case in terms of jurisdiction to your point with Hunter Biden's laptop and tenuous connection, using that as a hypothetical, tenuous connection to let's say a san Angelo county, Texas, or Atlanta, Georgia, and drags Hunter in cuffs into a jail or a trial, or Joe, harder to make but the harder the case is to make is the point because Alvin Bragg's case is so we, the purpose is served in making this political attack whether it is legal justification, that is a fair -- corollary to what we are watching?" he breathlessly said.
"That's exactly right, and it is why the Department of Justice has said that sitting presidents can't be prosecuted for anything," Hakes responded. "There are literally tens of thousands of elected district attorneys around this country. Imagine if all of them decide to start indicting a sitting president or all the presidential candidates to take out the competition from winning elections or serving once they win."
"It is absolute chaos and catastrophe for justice in this country, and I am frightened and angry that he has taken this step because I do worry about where it leads," she added.
These people don't even know what evidence was presented to the grand jury, and they're already complaining. And while noting that a sitting President can't be prosecuted, they want to prosecute President Joe Biden and his son. Make it make sense, please.
