I have said it before and I will say it again - there are few people better than Politics Girl when she hits her stride during a rant. And she hit her stride as she rails on Kevin McCarthy and the debt ceiling crisis of his creation, just as he promised the Free Dumb Caucasions, er, Caucus. But it is one of the oldest plays in the Republican playbook. They create an artificial financial crisis and use it to extort concessions from the Democrats under the threat to the American people. It seldom works out for them the way they want but they keep going back to it because the cruelty is the point.
