E. Jean Caroll is expected to testify against Donald Trump as jurors in the federal civil case heard her claim of being attacked in a luxury department store dressing room nearly 30 years ago.
"Filled with fear and shame, she kept silent for decades. Eventually, though, silence became impossible," one of her lawyers, Shawn Crowley, said in an opening statement. And he said when Carroll broke that silence in a 2019 memoir, the then-president "used the most powerful platform on Earth to lie about what he had done, attack Ms. Carroll's integrity, and insult her appearance."
Trump exploded on Truth Social.
"The E. Jean Carroll case, Ms. Bergdorf Goodman, is a made up SCAM. Her lawyer is a political operative, financed by a big political donor that they said didn't exist, only to get caught lying about that," he insisted. "Just look at her CNN interview before & after the commercial break - Like a different person. She said there was a dress, using the ol' Monica Lewinsky "stuff", then she didn't want to produce it. The dress should be allowed to be part of the case. This is a fraudulent & false story--Witch Hunt!"
The judge in the case is NOT HAPPY with him.
Carroll has been trying to get a sample of Trump's DNA to compare it with her dress, which does contain traces of an unknown man's DNA. The former President refused to provide the sample, which, if innocent, would have cleared his name.
"They got caught lying! The Miss Bergdorf Goodman case is financed by a big political donor that they tried to hide. Does anybody believe that I would take a then almost 60 year old woman that I didn’t know, from the front door of a very crowded department store, (with me being very well known, to put it mildly!), into a tiny dressing room, and …. her," he added. "She didn’t scream? There are no witnesses? Nobody saw this? She never made a police complaint? If I was seen there with a woman-BIG PRESS. SCAM!"
Lumpy allegedly assaulted Carroll in 1996, which was 26 years ago. Carroll is 79 years old. Trump is 76. She's only three years older than the indicted former President. She would have been 53 at the time, so she wasn't "almost 60." His ageism, though, is duly noted. There isn't an age limit for women getting raped. He really is an old pussy ass bitch.
