On Tuesday, C&L reported via Fox News Digital that Rep. Jim Jordan and other Republican leaders were demanding Alvin Bragg go to Congress to testify why he was indicting Trump.
This is not the role of Congress at all. House Republicans have no jurisdiction over a Manhattan DA. Instead, Rep. Jordan and Comer are acting as a legal defense team for Trump. What's next? Host a Stop the Steal type of event at the US Capitol?
Today, Manhattan Dist. Atty. Alvin Bragg responded to Chairman Jim Jordan's moronic request.
"We will not be intimidated by attempts to undermine the justice process, nor will we let baseless accusations deter us from fairly applying the law," a spokesperson for Bragg’s office told Fox News Digital.
"In every prosecution, we follow the law without fear or favor to uncover the truth. Our skilled, honest and dedicated lawyers remain hard at work," the spokesperson added.
Evidence and the rule of law has no power in the GOP.
Since Trump made his claim that he was going to be arrested today, the entire wingnut media and political complex has been apoplectic.
Creating fear and rage is their entire political philosophy.
