Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and his team rebuked Chairmans Jim Jordan, James Comer, and Bryan Steil in a professional and calm five-page letter to the Congressional Republicans.
The Republicans had sent an ill-conceived demand Monday that Bragg testify to Congress why he's ready to indict Donald Trump.
Leslie Dubek, Alvin Bragg's general counsel wrote to all three jackasses that their ask is “an unprecedented inquiry into a pending local prosecution.”
“The Letter only came after Donald Trump created a false expectation that he would be arrested the next day and his lawyers reportedly urged you to intervene. Neither fact is a legitimate basis for congressional inquiry,” she wrote in the letter, a copy of which was obtained by POLITICO.
MSNBC host Lawrence O'Donnell reveled in mocking Jim Jordan and remarked, “Alvin Bragg’s reply letter to Jim Jordan is the single most humiliating letter ever received by a chairman of the House Judiciary Committee," O'Donnell said. "Every one of whom has known much more about the law than Jim Jordan.”
Amen.
Trump was looking for violent, nationwide protests from his cult.
House Republicans turned into his personal legal team like Giuliani before them.
None of this is going to work because in America no one is above the law.
Jordan and the two other bozos have no jurisdiction over Alvin Bragg as they should well know. This ask was purely right-wing backlash performance art serving Fox News and other right-wing media
outlets.
What an embarrassment to the country.
