A Florida Republican was arrested for DUI and stashing cocaine in his shoes after he fell off his motorcycle while fleeing police. Police say that when they tried to pull Palm Bay City Council member Peter Filiberto over, he attempted outrun them on his motorcycle. This will make his 3rd DUI.
The 34-year-old Republican was "well above the 25mph posted speed limit" and skipped through stop signs minutes before he was pulled over on Saturday around 11:50pm, according to the Daily Mail.

As detailed in the police report, officers say they saw Filiberto speeding and tried to pull him over. When the officer turned around, investigators say the council member tried to escape by driving into a neighborhood.
The report adds that when Filiberto attempted a U-turn, he lost control, and the motorcycle tipped over. Officers say he refused to take a DUI test, and while questioning him, officers say they found 10 grams of cocaine in his shoes and socks.
After a roadside investigation, he was arrested on six charges: possession of a controlled substance, reckless driving, driving under the influence, no motorcycle endorsement, DUI test refusal, and a suspended license.
Ten grams of cocaine is a lot, by the way. He must be a heavy user. That's not coke for one night of him partying with his coke-bros. Surely his father, a doctor and former mayor of Palm Bay can get his son some help. He needs to be in rehab.
