This has to be some of the dumbest nonsense yet by someone on Fox in regard to the Chinese balloon floating across the United States. On this Saturday's Fox & Friends Weekend, during an almost ten minute long segment fearmongering over what the Chinese are up to, and accusing Joe Biden of refusing to have the military shoot down the balloon because he's supposedly "compromised" by China, host Will Cain actually pushed back a tiny bit against some of the carping about the balloon response, saying the military probably knows full well what the balloon is capable of, and whether it represents a threat or not.
That didn't stop his cohost Pete Hegseth from immediately responding that the military should find a way to take it down, lashing out at "globalists" for supposedly preventing a response, and then making some ridiculous false equivalencies comparing this to the U.S. sending weapons to Ukraine.
Not to be outdone by Hegseth, Rachel Campos-Duffy decided to toss, you guessed it, Hunter Biden's so-called "laptop" (there is no laptop, just a supposed copy of the hard drive) into the mix:
CAMPOS-DUFFY: Yeah, there's a lot in that laptop might have something to do with this response as well. We need to stop treating China, by the way, like a normal country after what happened with COVID and this is a serious threat and I think our leaders are failing us as this balloon floats across our sky.
Fox "news" and Republicans are just itching to get us into a war with China. First it was COVID, and now it's this balloon. And now Campos-Duffy has found a way to tie it into the fake Hunter Biden so-called laptop scandal. Wonderful.
