Speaking in South Carolina Saturday night, Trump kicked off his presidential run by spewing the same lies, conspiracies and nonsense he has for the last seven years, including his diatribe on fighting windmills.
Trump sucks up to Big Oil every chance he gets, as we all know. Pretending President Biden doesn't want to drill for oil, Trump turned into Don Quixote.
"They do not want pipelines, they do not want anything. We demand windmills be built in our oceans, our prairies, our mountains and our plains, only to realize they are killing all of our eagles and our birds," Trump lied. "If you kill a bald eagle they put you in jail for five years, but the windmills knock out thousands of them, nothing happens."
Again, that is a lie.
In fact, there's this:
USA Today reported backin 2022, "One of the largest U.S. providers of renewable energy pleaded guilty to criminal charges and was ordered to pay over $8 million in fines and restitution after at least 150 eagles were killed at its wind farms in eight states, federal prosecutors said Wednesday NextEra Energy subsidiary SI Energy was also sentenced to five years probation after being charged with three counts of violating the Migratory Bird Treaty Act during a court appearance in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Now the world is supposed to have maybe 400 billion birds, but suddenly Trump has become an expert ornithologist.
Let's face it, Trump would run over a bird if it flew next to his golf cart.
