Matt Schlapp is being accused of groping the crotch of a male staffer for Herschel Walker's campaign, and recently released texts between the alleged victim and the CPAC chairman appear to confirm that. Also, after Schlapp allegedly groped the staffer's junk, he immediately told the Walker campaign so he wouldn't be uncomfortable by having to drive Gropey McGroperson around.

Schlapp posted a statement written by attorney Charlie Spies on Twitter, saying, "no family should ever go through this, and the Schlapps and their legal team are assessing counter-lawsuit options."

That would make discovery pretty interesting because Schlapp is being sued.

Via Politico:

Timothy Hyland, a lawyer for the accuser, told the New York Times that they would be seeking at least $9.4 million in damages. Reached for comment, Schlapp's attorney Charlie Spies called the complaint "false," and said the "Schlapp family is suffering unbearable pain and stress" as a result. Schlapp also tweeted the statement from Spies.

There is audio and text messages.

"Matt Schlapp of the CPAC grabbed my junk and pummeled it at length, and I'm sitting there thinking what the hell is going on, that this person is literally doing this to me," the staffer said in the video.

"From the bar to the Hilton Garden Inn, he has his hands on me. And I feel so fucking dirty. I feel so fucking dirty," he added.

After the Walker campaign released the accuser from having to drive Schlapp around, the CPAC chair was unaware that he was no longer his driver.

Schlapp texted the staffer to tell him that he was in the lobby, and the staffer texted back, "I was uncomfortable with what happened last night. The campaign does have a driver who is available to get you to Macon and back to the airport."

"If you could see it in your heart to call me at the end of the day," Schlapp replied. "I would appreciate it. If not I wish you luck on the campaign."

I'm not sure how Schlapp can deny that something happened that night.
