Wisconsin Republican Representative Mike Gallagher was mewling that he was supposed to meet with the joint chiefs but was told by House Security that he doesn't have clearance. He found this especially egregious because he's on the armed services committee and intel committee.

What Gallagher doesn't mention is that he doesn't have clearance because he's not actually on those committees because he's not actually a representative right now. He's not any of these because his own party can't and/or won't get their shit together and elect a House Speaker in a timely and orderly fashion.

But Gallagher is correct on one point. He does have work to do. I would suggest that maybe he get five or so of his fellow Republicans together and just vote for Hakeem Jeffries. Then the House can get down to the business they were elected to do (or in the GOP's case - supposedly elected to do).
