When Kevin McCarthy agreed with the 15 Republican holdouts to elevate him to the House speakership, he gave the hard-right Freedom Caucus the keys to the car on pushing for national debt default. He also agreed to limit his own powers. He agreed to use a procedure – the motion to vacate the chair. So, any house member can call for his removal. It might not work, but it can be repeatedly used to stall his agenda.
Well, it's starting already. At least the thought is there.
An associate of disgraced former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn's, Ivan Raiklin, stood outside of the far-right Christian Nationalist 'Reawaken' event with Ashli Babbitt's mother, said he is going to Washington, D.C. They are going to see McCarthy to give him an ultimatum.
Raiklin is giving Kevin McCarthy until the end of the day tomorrow to release all of the Jan. 6 footage, or he will call for a member of Congress to make a motion to vacate to remove him as Speaker, according to Ron Filipkowski.
Sure, show all of the footage. Interestingly, Trump supporters didn't seem bothered enough to watch the footage that the Jan. 6 committee presented showing the mob of the one-term President's supporters' attack on the U.S. Capitol that disrupted a joint session of the U.S. Congress in the process of affirming the presidential election results. They must believe there is something more there in the unseen footage. Michael Flynn is a Q-nut, and no reasonable person wants to follow him or his associates down that rabbit hole. But yeah, roll the footage. It's not something to be afraid of.
