When Republicans take a majority in the House in early January, expect a whole lot of nothing, including from Kentucky Rep. James Comer, who has been making the rounds on news shows lately.
On Sean Hannity's Fox News show, Comer vowed that the oversight committee would send out a letter to Twitter employees for what he called a "coverup" of the laptop story.
Twitter is a private company, and the so-called reveal initiated by Elon Musk and tweeted by Matt Taibbi resulted in a report that said Democrats and Republicans both had back channels to get rid of unfavorable tweets. Team Biden wanted to get rid of things on the behemoth social site like, you know, Hunter Biden's dick pics. The entire thing was a nothingburger. Even most conservatives agree with that.
However, he vowed to bring Twitter employees in front of Congress. There has been no mention of how Republicans plan to fight inflation or gas prices, though. They campaigned on those issues, but instead, they will find ways to prove that perpetual victim Donald Trump was wronged.
I'm worried about Comer. Was he in a coma during the four long years Trump and his nepotistic administration were in power?
