Since Trump came down the escalator, conspiracy theories and lies have permeated right-wing media outlets like never before. Enter Newsguard, which is a non-partisan company set up to review and rate websites on many of the issues concerning funding, ownership, misinformation, etc...
Here are their guidelines.
The only issue they have with C&L is that we add opinions to almost all of our stories. Duh.
We don't have a staff of 500, and do not fit the NY Times format; but we STILL get an excellent 87.5 rating.
On the other, Fox News receives a 59 and is tagged for many violations.
Fox News' rating is accompanied by this warning:
Proceed with caution: This website fails to adhere to several basic journalistic standards.
C&L has always been honest and forthcoming, unlike wingnut landing strips of lies.
