Former president Donald Trump's Twitter account has been reinstated after another narcissist, billionaire Elon Musk, ran a Twitter poll to decide whether to activate the man's account that incited the attack on our Capitol on Jan. 6.
It was a weird evening. The one-term President sent Truth Social users to Twitter to participate in Elon's Twitter poll to get his account reinstated.
At any rate -- and I find this part funny -- Elon reactivated Trump's account, then the former President declined to go back to the platform after a narrow majority voted for Trump.
Previously, Elon claimed that he would not make any "major content decisions or account reinstatements" before convening a "content moderation council with widely diverse viewpoints." But he lied.
The twice impeached former President who tried to cling to power by overturning the 2020 election said he would stay on his failing Truth Social platform.
"He's a character. I tend to like characters. But I have something called Truth Social. It's doing phenomenally well," Trump insisted. "Engagement is much better. I'll be staying there. I don't see it. I don't see any reason for it."
One narcissist tried to help another narcissist, who then threw the other narcissist under the bus. They're eating their own, and we're OK with that.
