Former President Donald Trump has been one hot mess after the midterm results came in, prompting some shunning and ridiculing by conservatives. Yes, they are finally turning on the one-term President. Trump has been screaming into the void at his failing Trump Social platform, insisting that Tuesday's midterms were a victory for him (they were not a victory for his crazy ass). Trump's iron grip on his party is waning, and that's not going down well with the petulant ex-President.
Trump was the first president in decades to lose the House, the Senate, and the White House within one term, and he continued losing after leaving the White House in disgrace by backing wackadoodle candidates because of their loyalty to the former President. The MAGA candidates did not fare well on Tuesday. Sure, Marjorie Taylor Greene won, but that was expected, given the demographics in her district.
Trump took to Truth Social after 2:00 a.m. to lash out at the New York Times while insisting that he was victorious.
"Incredible how dishonest the Fake News Media is.The Failing New York Times has gone crazy," he wrote. "So many of the people I Endorsed went on to victory on Tuesday Night, nobody was even close, and they literally make up a story refusing to write the facts, and only quoting enemies and losers. Almost all of the people I endorsed WON, yet if you read the story from two Trump hating writers (who only do as they are told!), you would not even recognize the truth. They truly are THE ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE!!!"
"…219 WINS against 16 LOSSES IN THE GENERAL ELECTION, and yet the Fake News writes only unrecognizable junk," he added in another post. "No wonder they are all doing sooo badly!"
And he started back up this morning.
Despite having picked so many winners, I have to put up with the Fake News. For me, Fox News was always gone, even in 2015-16 when I began my “journey,” but now they’re really gone. Such an opportunity for another media outlet to make an absolute fortune, and do good for America. Let’s see what happens?

The New York Times piece looks accurate to me. This part is interesting:
Mr. Trump affixed his name to dozens of candidates who were virtual locks to win at the ballot box — including some who had no Democratic opponent — in an attempt to compile a lopsided win-loss record that he started trumpeting Tuesday evening, well before any key Senate battleground contests had been called.
That is classic Trump, more concerned about what makes him look good than what's suitable for his party. Most of us saw this coming. He's a textbook example of a raging narcissist. There is no cure for narcissism, so they're stuck with him. They will never completely get the stink of Trump off of them.
