Though she retired from the porn industry over a decade ago she remains popular enough in Russia to use her photoshopped image on billboards.

With waning interest in going to die in Ukraine (with upwards of 700,000 men already fleeing the country to avoid mobilization), Russian recruitment centers are turning to more unorthodox methods, such as using the photoshopped image of Sasha Grey, erstwhile porn actress and currently a Twitch streamer with over a million followers.

Game streamer and former porn actress Sasha Gray came across posters encouraging Russians to join the military. On the billboard you can see a photo of a celebrity in a military uniform. Her fans are encouraging her to sue the poster's makers.

"Contract service is a good choice. Ask your local Military Recruitment Commission for enlistment questions," reads a poster encouraging Russian citizens to join the army , featuring the face of Sasha Grey, a former porn star. Internet users believe that the photo of the game streamer does not come from any porn. In their opinion, it was most likely photoshopped.

"It's a bit strange that in a country of pretty women you have to stick an American woman in the promotion of the service," Mr. Zen commented on Twitter. "According to this ad, Gray is now working in some recruitment office and his mischievous appearance lures young men to the front. It really is a land of unlimited possibilities," commented another user of the social network.

Helpfully translated.

Apparently, they also used her image in 2015 as "Sasha Serova", a fictional nurse brutally raped and murdered by Ukrainian soldiers.

Pretty clear where Ms. Grey stands, however.
