There is a lot for Trumpers to be upset about right now. Democrats kept control of the Senate after Nevada Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto won her reelection bid against Trump-backed Adam Laxalt. And they're falling in line behind that false Republican mantra of victimization: the midterms were rigged. That's getting old, but they've been doing it for years. They had a good teacher, after all: Donald J. Trump.
On Saturday, just outside the Maricopa County Elections office in Phoenix, Arizona, about 30 protesters gathered in support of Kari Lake's bid for governor, and it's a very close race. Signs were carried reading: "Lake won," "Hobbs is a cheat," "count the vote," and "recall Gates and Richer."
So, they're not backing the blue, eh?
Trump couldn't build a wall, but he did build this toxic environment. Congrats, I guess.
